Our Journey
Little Stars opened its doors to children and families in July 2023 after 2 months of hard work.
Initially
Six children and their families attending the centre.
Our lead Occupational Therapist, Heather Last, was the sole therapist
with volunteers supporting day-to-day operations.
Now
30+ children and their families attend regularly with more on a waiting list.
Heather Last continues as our Lead Occupational Therapist and Centre Manager.
The team has grown to include an additional Occupational Therapist, a Speech
Language Therapist, a Music Therapist, two Physiotherapists, Activity Coordinators
and administration staff.
Premises
July 2023 we opened at 1043 Tremaine Avenue.
A local family (McMillian & Lockwood) have generously gifted their premises for the next seven years.
A huge opportunity which will allow us to grow and expand to help more children.
